Tattoo Aftercare
- Please follow these instructions carefully -

Remove bandage within 1 hr of appt. {DO NOT re-bandage}

Wash your hands with soap and water.

Thoroughly wash Tattoo with warm water, and non-scented antibacterial soap. {Do Not use wash-clothes, luffas, or anything other than you hands}

Gently and completely pat dry with clean paper towels. {Do Not use clothe/bath towels}

Repeat 2 times a day minimum, or as necessary.

2-3 days after your appt. you may start using a small amount of non-scented lotion to help moisturize. {Wash and dry Tattoo between applications.}

Remove extra moisturizer off the skin.

Do not use Antibiotic creams, Neosporin, A&D, or Vaseline.
All regular hygiene, routines, and or most activities are ok to continue while your Tattoo is healing.

Make sure your Tattoo stays dry, and clean.
-
It should never be sticky, tacky, shiny, or gooey.

Do not scratch, rub, or pick your Tattoo.
-
No swimming, soaking, or saunas while your Tattoo is healing. {1-2 weeks, or until there are not more scabbing}

No tanning beds, or direct exposure to the sun while your Tattoo is healing. {It will damage the Tattoo, and or scar the skin}

After the Tattoo is fully healed, you can protect and prolong the life of your Tattoo by using sunscreen.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to your tattoo, or possible infection. The aftercare of your Tattoo is your responsibility, but I am here to help.
Aftercare Supplies:

Non-scented Antibacterial/mild soap. {Dove, Dial, or Neutrogena}

Non-scented lotions. {Lubriderm, Eucerin, or Cetaphil}

Paper towels.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about the aftercare, and or the healing process of your Tattoo. Getting immediate help regarding your healing Tattoo, can help it heal properly, or fix any issues before they get out of hand. *Even silly questions, or confessed mistakes, can help me identify a problem, or to better serve you, and most importantly, avoid more serious issues such as infections.
*Every artist, or shop may have their own version of this aftercare, but it is important to follow the guidance of the artist that did the healing Tattoo. This can help you and the artist find solutions to issues, if they arrive. Reaching out to an artist if there's a problem can be intimidating, but trust them, as they are the professionals and want to help. *If you are not comfortable with your artist, for any reason, please seek a second opinion.
